Exhibition Opening and Artist Talk
2 December 2025 ~ 24 January 2026
Solo Exhibition at Old Post Office Gallery, Atherton
I’m delighted to share new work developed over the past three years at my upcoming solo exhibition at the
Old Post Office Gallery.
Building the Tiny Train kiln opened new possibilities for exploring the character of local clays and glaze materials through wood firing.
I’ll be at the exhibition on the 6th to talk about the work and process — I’d love to see you there.
Come and visit while I am Artist in Residence.
The show is up until 24th January.
Old Post Office Gallery
86 Atherton Herberton Rd, Atherton
The Old Post Office Gallery is located at the Hou Wang Chinese Temple and Museum precinct.

Ash Jar
Local stoneware ‘Front-Gate Clay’, wood fired, ash and feldspathic glaze
Experimenting with local clay, rocks and wood ash, I seek to understand their qualities through making pots and wood firing. I listen, look and feel, the landscapes around me, the materials under my feet. I explore the chemistry of these materials under extreme conditions in wood firing. Discovering the alchemy that transcends the materiality of clay, rock and wood, emerging as objects capable of touching the human spirit, is truly wondrous.
This piece has been thrown in two halves using clay dug on my property, then glazed with ash and feldspathic glazes and wood fired for two days in my train kiln. A dynamic balance between perfection and imperfection lingers.
